Welcome to Worship Wednesday.
The word of the Lord says in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”. Joy is one of the marks of a Christian. People know us by our joy. But when God asks us to be joyful always, He already knows we won’t feel happy about everything that happens to us. Some things are too painful for us to feel happy. But, joy is more than happiness. It comes from knowing that God is in control. He also wants us to pray about everything. He wants us to talk to Him about things in our life and to thank Him because He’s molding us into His image through every circumstance.
Let this be your prayer today:
Dear Heavenly Father, with all my heart, I love you Lord. You’re my first love, You’re my reward. Through the years, Lord You’ve been good to me. My soul sings! You’ve been faithful, and I give You my heart. I am grateful for who You are and all that You’ve done for me. For the seen and unseen. For the pitfalls that You’ve caused me to avoid, for the comfort and discipline when I hurt or when I step out of line. Lord, I love you. Have Your way in my life, be the center of my life. Be my guide, my shield, my protector. Forgive me Father for my sins. Thank you for provision, protection and for the spirit of obedience to follow Your word. The strength to stand on Your word. The faith to believe Your word. Lord I thank you and I love you. My soul sings with unspeakable joy for I serve a Great God, Wonderful and Mighty, Excellent and Perfect! Keep me close to You and I will praise you every step of the way. In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen
