Worship Message:
Hallelujah and Welcome to Worship Wednesday!
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” Psalms 150: 6
God inhabits the praises of His people. One of the enemy’s devices is to get us to stop praising the Lord. He wants us to be discouraged by our situation. He knows that there is power in our praise and God moves on our behalf when we stop focusing on the issue but focus on God. That is why we emphasize, that our praise is a weapon. It confuses the enemy as to why we are rejoicing in the Lord instead of worrying about our circumstance. Praising God and focusing our attention on God allows God to move freely and strategically handle situations according to His will. He doesn’t need us to tell Him how to handle a situation we are facing. We are to give Him praise for who He is. By praising Him, we are conveying that we understand that our God is bigger than anything we are facing, that we trust Him and His word and that we surrender to His will and His way for our lives.
I am a living witness that praising God through it all is the best response I can give or action that I can take. God is so faithful, so intentional, so strategic, so loving, so amazing, and so in control. I praise Him not only to surrender to Him but to focus on Him, get close to Him and to get into His presence. In His presence lies strength, peace, love, joy, rest, healing, instruction, wisdom, understanding, everything we have need of. Even when things don’t seem to be going my way or work out the way I thought, my ways are not His ways, my thoughts are not His thoughts and I trust Him with my whole life. Therefore, I praise Him, for who He is, what He has done and what He is doing (seen and unseen). I praise Him through the good times and the hard times. I praise Him in all that I do because He is worthy to be praised!
Be Blessed!
