Worship Message:
Welcome to Worship Wednesday. As we reflect on the events leading up to the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, we see His love for us being reflected in every significant step toward the cross, every breath up to the last, and His resurrection.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.”
The bible also states in Romans 8: 3-4, “The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.”
When Adam and Eve sinned, God set His plan for our salvation in motion because He loves us so much. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and severed the connection to Him for all mankind. Therefore, God had to fix it. He moved all of the pieces into place to prepare the way for Jesus to come. He knew we couldn’t restore the connection ourselves. He had to do it- Jesus had to pay the price for our sin. He paid it all!
Be blessed!
