Praise the Lord it’s Worship Wednesday!
Psalms 27: 11-13 NLT reads, “Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.”
Sometimes we find ourselves irritate, frustrated and battling issues day to day yearning for something to change or turn around. We respond to things through our own eyes, emotions or understanding. However, God desires for us to become more like Him. He teaches us His way through His Word. In His Word, we find God’s guidelines for living a godly life, including how to surrender our life to Him. The bible tells us to pray without ceasing. As we pray and truly seek His face, we give up control of our life to Him. Then when we hear from Him, we know where He wants us to go. As much as I like to be in control of the things in my life, it is much easier to let God take control. He sees what I cannot see. He knows how to strategically maneuver and bypass a whole lot of unnecessary delays or distractions. If we can all just get to a place of “YES”. This place of yes is saying yes to Your will Lord, yes to Your way God. He wants what’s best for us and it exceeds our imagination and limitations. We serve a limitless God, a Mighty King, the Great I Am, a Wonderful Counselor, an Excellent Ruler, a Faithful Provider and Waymaker, a Miraculous and Loving Lord, Alpha and Omega, the Who is and is to Come, the Savior of the World! If we offer God a willing spirit to learn, He will teach us His way.
Heavenly Father we lift You up, exalting Your name on high. We glorify You oh God. There is none like You. You are our Lord and Savior. Our rock, our shield, our provider, our guide, our reason for living. In You we live, move and have our being. We ask you to come and move by Your Spirit. We say yes to Your will, Yes to Your way. Have Your way oh Lord. We thank You for miracle, signs and wonders. We thank You for meeting our every need. Exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think. Lord move on behalf of Your people. We thank You for what You are doing in our lives, seen and unseen. We thank You for Your unfailing love, Your grace and Your mercy. Help us to be obedient to Your word, Your voice. Keep us on the path of righteousness, draw us close to You. Stir up the gifts within us, give us holy boldness to speak Your word and tell others of the gospel. Use us as You see fit. Mold us and shape us into what You would have us to be. Less of us and more of You God. Decrease us so that You may be increased in our lives daily. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!
