Welcome to Worship Wednesday!

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” – Psalm 37: 3-5

The Word of God tells us to trust in the Lord and delight ourselves in Him. We are to joyfully embrace our relationship with the Lord, faithfully serving Him, which is a journey. When we hear that He will give us our heart’s desires, that doesn’t mean He will give us anything that we want. He knows if the desires of our heart are good for us. Although we are happy at times and may be sad other times, we are to take joy in Him and trust in Him. Joy is more than happiness. Joy comes from knowing that God is in control. Trusting that God wants what is best for us, better than we want for ourselves.
