Hallelujah it’s Worship Wednesday!
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” – Romans 12:1
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” – John 4:23
To worship God is to show or express reverence and adoration for God. Worship isn’t just singing but its actually a lifestyle. We out to live our lives giving reverence to God; as an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. God desires of us to spend time with Him to get to know him, to love him so sincerely and respect him so much, that our only response is to live in honor of him every day and in all that we do.
Worshipping God is not about us. It’s about exalting God; choosing to praise and honor Him regardless of your circumstances. Trusting in Him because you know that He is Sovereign. Worship is not about receiving but about praising God and giving or honoring Him. God has already given us life. He has sacrificed His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. He has given us grace and the promise of eternal life. The true heart of worship is focusing on God, glorifying Him in everything we do.
